About Dr. Amanda Steffen, DVM, CVA

Hi, I’m Dr. Amanda Steffen —a Cincinnati-based veterinarian with a passion for senior pets and the people who love them. My mission is to help pet parents around the world navigate their animal’s golden years with more confidence, compassion, and clarity.

This work is deeply personal. It was inspired by my heart dog, Floyd—a soulful senior who taught me the beauty and challenges of aging pets firsthand. After realizing how limited our options were through Western medicine alone, I expanded my training to include acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapies. The result? A more integrative, whole-pet approach that improves comfort, quality of life, and peace of mind.

Today, I offer mobile in-home services locally, and I support pet parents globally through educational content, trusted recommendations, and a new membership platform I created called Senior Pet Connection—a space where members get access to ebooks, courses, expert recommendations and live Q&As designed to make senior pet care easier and more empowering.

I hold a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina Aiken, a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Tennessee, and I’m certified in veterinary acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.

At home, I share life with my husband, children, and two rescue dogs—a sweet senior shelter pittie and a lively middle-aged Frenchie—who remind me daily why this work matters.

Whether you’re just starting your senior pet journey or looking for deeper support, you’re in the right place. I’m so glad you’re here.
